What South Node does in a chart
South Node describes your past-life gifts and comfort zone to grow beyond. Its sign says in what style, and its house says in which part of life.
South Node in Sagittarius
Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign. Fire signs act first, warm the room, and need somewhere to put their energy. Mutable signs change things. They close each season and like to adapt. South Node in Sagittarius takes on that style.
The other node
The two lunar nodes are always opposite each other, so a South Node in Sagittarius means a North Node in Gemini. Your soul's destiny and growth direction this lifetime sits in Gemini, and the two are read together as one axis.
What this page cannot tell you
Sign is one of three things that describe a placement. The house South Node falls in and the aspects it makes to the rest of the chart change the reading a great deal. Two people with South Node in Sagittarius can live it very differently.
