What South Node does in a chart
South Node describes your past-life gifts and comfort zone to grow beyond. Its sign says in what style, and its house says in which part of life.
South Node in Aries
Aries is a cardinal fire sign. Fire signs act first, warm the room, and need somewhere to put their energy. Cardinal signs start things. They open each season and like to lead. South Node in Aries takes on that style.
The other node
The two lunar nodes are always opposite each other, so a South Node in Aries means a North Node in Libra. Your soul's destiny and growth direction this lifetime sits in Libra, and the two are read together as one axis.
What this page cannot tell you
Sign is one of three things that describe a placement. The house South Node falls in and the aspects it makes to the rest of the chart change the reading a great deal. Two people with South Node in Aries can live it very differently.
