Sagittarius

Fire and mutable

Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign ruled by Jupiter. Fire signs act first, warm the room, and need somewhere to put their energy. Mutable signs change things. They close each season and like to adapt.

Its opposite sign is Gemini. Opposite signs share a modality and sit on one axis, so Sagittarius and Gemini tend to be each other's missing half.

The Sun in Sagittarius

Your Sun in Sagittarius gives you an open, restless, truth-seeking nature. You want the bigger picture, the far horizon, and the honest answer. Optimism comes naturally, and so does saying exactly what you think.

In work you need room to move, learn, and teach, and you wilt under small rules. In love you are warm and generous, and you need a partner who shares the journey rather than blocks it. Your challenge is following through once the excitement of the start has passed.

Three things that help

Finish one adventure before booking the next.

Check that your honesty lands as kindness.

Keep learning. A bored Sagittarius is a restless one.

Planets at home and away in Sagittarius

Jupiter is at home in Sagittarius. This is the sign Jupiter rules, where it works most like itself.

Mercury is in detriment in Sagittarius, opposite its home. It works here, but against the grain of the sign.
