Aquarius

Air and fixed

Aquarius is a fixed air sign ruled by Saturn and Uranus. Air signs think, talk, connect, and need ideas as much as company. Fixed signs hold things. They sit in the middle of each season and like to finish.

Its opposite sign is Leo. Opposite signs share a modality and sit on one axis, so Aquarius and Leo tend to be each other's missing half.

The Sun in Aquarius

Your Sun in Aquarius gives you an original, independent, forward-looking nature. You think for yourself, you care about the group and the future, and you are more at ease with ideas than with drama. Being different is not a phase for you.

In work you shine where innovation, technology, or a cause is involved, and you need the freedom to do it your way. In love you want a friend and an equal, and you need space without it meaning distance. Your challenge is staying present with feelings, yours and other people's, rather than analyzing them.

Three things that help

Name a feeling before you explain it.

Let people close. Independence and intimacy can share a room.

Give your ideas a deadline, or they stay ideas.

Planets at home and away in Aquarius

Saturn is at home in Aquarius. This is the sign Saturn rules, where it works most like itself.

Sun is in detriment in Aquarius, opposite its home. It works here, but against the grain of the sign.
