Virgo

Earth and mutable

Virgo is a mutable earth sign ruled by Mercury. Earth signs build, keep, and trust what they can touch and measure. Mutable signs change things. They close each season and like to adapt.

Its opposite sign is Pisces. Opposite signs share a modality and sit on one axis, so Virgo and Pisces tend to be each other's missing half.

The Sun in Virgo

Your Sun in Virgo gives you a thoughtful, precise, helpful nature. You see what could be improved and you quietly improve it, and you are happiest when you are useful. Your standards are high, and they are highest for yourself.

In work you are the one who makes things actually function, and you do best with a craft to refine. In love you show care through practical acts and attention to the small things. Worry is your shadow, so you need places where good enough really is enough.

Three things that help

Finish before you perfect.

Speak your care out loud, not only through help.

Rest is not a reward. Put it on the list.

Planets at home and away in Virgo

Mercury is at home in Virgo. This is the sign Mercury rules, where it works most like itself.

Jupiter is in detriment in Virgo, opposite its home. It works here, but against the grain of the sign.

Venus is in fall in Virgo, opposite its exaltation. The sign asks Venus to work in an unfamiliar way.
