Cancer

Water and cardinal

Cancer is a cardinal water sign ruled by Moon. Water signs feel, remember, protect, and read the room before anyone speaks. Cardinal signs start things. They open each season and like to lead.

Its opposite sign is Capricorn. Opposite signs share a modality and sit on one axis, so Cancer and Capricorn tend to be each other's missing half.

The Sun in Cancer

Your Sun in Cancer gives you a warm, protective, deeply feeling nature. You remember everything, you notice moods before words, and you build your life around the people and places that feel like home. Your shell hides a lot of tenderness.

In work you care for the team and the details others miss, and you do best where loyalty is returned. In love you give fully, and you need to feel safe before you open up. Your moods move like the tide, so your home and your routines matter more than most people understand.

Three things that help

Say what you need instead of waiting to be noticed.

Let people in a little sooner than feels safe.

Make your home a real refuge, then leave it sometimes.

Planets at home and away in Cancer

Moon is at home in Cancer. This is the sign Moon rules, where it works most like itself.

Jupiter is exalted in Cancer, an honoured guest. The sign brings out Jupiter's best side.

Saturn is in detriment in Cancer, opposite its home. It works here, but against the grain of the sign.

Mars is in fall in Cancer, opposite its exaltation. The sign asks Mars to work in an unfamiliar way.
